ParkVale FC Football Club abides by Childrens First Act 2015.\u00a0 Under this Act, the Club has a statutory responsibility to report any suspected abuse or neglect to relevant statuory authorities.\u00a0 For more information on Childrens First Act and statutory reporting see\u00a0www.tusla.ie<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0 The Designated Liaison Persons are\u00a0Emma Freeman<\/strong>\u00a0(Child Welfare Liaison Officer) and\u00a0Adam Berber<\/strong>\u00a0(Chair).\u00a0 If you have any concerns around child welfare please contact Emma in the first instant.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The aim of ParkVale FC Football Club is to provide all players at our club with the maximum opportunities to develop their footballing ability to its full potential.<\/p>

This will be achieved with the full co-operation of Managers\/Coaches, Players and Parents in a safe and friendly environment.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

1- Code of Conduct for Managers \/ Coaches\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

1.1 \u2013 Managers\/Coaches will show respect for all players and officials and lead by example.
1.2 \u2013 Be fully prepared for coaching sessions and matches. (Including First-Aid, Kit, etc.).
1.3 \u2013 Ensure a safe environment for learning and development.
1.4 \u2013 Managers\/Coaches to keep themselves up to date with new ideas on coaching and development.
1.5 \u2013 Encourage each player in terms of self-discipline, good behaviour and punctuality.
1.6 \u2013 Be self-critical and not afraid to seek assistance.
1.7 \u2013 Have completed Safeguarding Level 1 Training and report any concerns to the Child Welfare Liaison Officer
1.8 \u2013 Liaise with parents.
1.9 \u2013 Ensure that all players are aware that all forms of bullying will not be tolerated.
1.10 \u2013 Be generous with your praise when it is deserved.
1.11 \u2013 Managers\/Coaches must always display high standards of behaviour and appearance.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

1.12 All unnecessary data (i.e past players information) will be destroyed in accordance with GDPR guidelines<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

2- Code of Conduct for Players\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

2.1 \u2013 Always show respect for team-mates, managers\/coaches, opponents and officials.
2.2 \u2013 Always turn up on time for matches and training.
2.3 \u2013 Always play to win but accept defeat like proper sportsmen.
2.4 \u2013 Always have commitment to your club and pride in your performance.
2.5 \u2013 Ensure that your lifestyle helps rather than hinders your progress.
2.6 \u2013 Arrive for training and matches with the proper gear and boots.
2.7 \u2013 Listen to advice given and ask questions if you don\u2019t understand.
2.8 \u2013 Help out with equipment before and after matches and training.
2.9 \u2013 Let the manager know, as soon as possible, if you are injured or sick.
2.10 \u2013 Bullying will not be tolerated and if you feel you are being bullied feel safe to tell the manager.
2.11 \u2013 Enjoy playing and training with ParkVale FC.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

3- Code of Conduct for Parents\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

3.1 \u2013 Always show respect for all players, opponents, managers\/coaches and officials.
3.2 \u2013 Have realistic expectations for your son\/daughter and don\u2019t put him\/her under undue pressure.
3.3 \u2013 Ensure that your son\/daughter arrives on time for training and matches and that safe arrangements
are in place for getting your son\/daughter home afterwards.\u00a0 This information should be given to the coach\/manager.
3.4 \u2013 Leave coaching to the coaches.
3.5 \u2013 Respect the managers\/coaches decisions.
3.6 \u2013 Assist when asked.
3.7 \u2013 Accept disappointment, praise good work and refrain from criticising.
3.8 \u2013 Support the club\u2019s fund-raising activities where possible and ensure subscriptions are paid.
3.9 \u2013 If your son\/daughter requires hospital treatment a parent must attend.
3.10 \u2013 Emphasise skill development and practice over winning and how they benefit your child
(and other children\/players). De-emphasise games and competition in the lower age groups.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

3.11.\u00a0 Parents are required to provide the club with all relevant material pertaining to their child including medical forms and contact details; signed code of conduct and signed GDPR forms.\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

All above is superceded by the Code of Ethics and Good Practice for Children\u2019s Sport as directed by
The Irish Sports Council and supported by the FAI. See back of booklet for further information.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t

10- Use of Social Media, Photography and Video Material\n\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

10.1 Parents are responsible for not putting up video or photographic material of minors other than their own children on Social Media or any other communication form that will be seen publicly without the explicit consent of the minors parents\/guardian.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

10.2 Parents\/Coaches\/Committee Members should never behave in a negative manner on Social Media toward any child. Parent, coach or Committee Member. Nor should any Club Member behave in a manner on social media that will bring the club into disrepute.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t

10.3 No child or young person should engage on Social Media in a manner that is going to cause upset to any other child or young person.\u00a0 If a situation arises, parents have responsibility for policing their child\u2019s Social Media use.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
